Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your purchase and use of DefendMyWP, provided by GoldNetwork Sàrl, Avenue du Gros-Chene 32, 1213 Onex, Switzerland (company ID CHE-313.875.937) (“we”, “us”). By buying a subscription or using the plugin and our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. What we provide

DefendMyWP is a WordPress security plugin together with subscription services: a managed rule feed, plugin updates, the Health Check integrity scanner service, and support, according to the plan you buy.

2. Licence

The DefendMyWP plugin software is licensed under the GNU General Public License v2 or later (GPL); your rights in the plugin’s code are those granted by the GPL. Your paid subscription grants you, for its duration, a licence to receive the managed rule feed, updates, the Health Check service and support, and to activate the plugin on the number of websites included in your plan. You must not resell, sublicense or misrepresent the services, remove notices, or exceed your plan’s website limit.

3. Subscriptions, billing and renewals

Subscriptions are billed in advance on an annual basis and renew automatically at the then-current price unless cancelled before the renewal date. Prices are shown in USD and exclude any taxes that may apply. We may change prices or plan features for future terms; changes do not affect the term you have already paid for. You can cancel at any time from your customer dashboard; cancellation stops the next renewal and takes effect at the end of the current term.

4. Refunds

Refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

5. Acceptable use

You may use DefendMyWP only on websites you own or are authorised to manage, and only for lawful purposes. You must not use it to attack, probe or disrupt systems you are not authorised to test, nor attempt to interfere with our services.

6. Intellectual property

Except for the plugin code licensed under the GPL, all content and materials on this website and the “DefendMyWP” name and branding are owned by GoldNetwork Sàrl. DefendMyWP is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the WordPress Foundation or Automattic Inc.

7. Payment providers

Payments are processed by SureCart, Stripe and PayPal. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms. We do not store full payment card details.

8. Disclaimer

DefendMyWP reduces security risk but, like any security product, cannot guarantee that a website will never be compromised. The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law, including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or block every threat. The firewall is designed to fail open, meaning an internal fault lets a request through rather than taking your website down. You remain responsible for your own backups and overall security.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, loss of data, profits or business. Our total liability arising from or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or non-payment. You may stop using the service at any time; the plugin is GPL software and will continue to function, but subscription services (rule feed, updates, Health Check, support) stop when your subscription ends.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always on this page. Material changes take effect for renewals or continued use after the update date shown above.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland. The exclusive place of jurisdiction for any dispute is Geneva, Switzerland, subject to any mandatory place of jurisdiction provided by law for consumers.
